We are seeking a full-time HVAC Installer to join our team. As an HVAC Installer at Ackermann Group, you will be responsible for supporting installation and replacement of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a portfolio of multi-family residential properties throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow their HVAC career within a structured, professional property management environment.

The HVAC Installer will work under the direction of the Regional Facilities Director while adhering to company standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Installation and replacement of HVAC systems in multi-family residential units, including apartments and common areas
• Support setup of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components according to specifications
• Follow standardized installation procedures to ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company guidelines
• Perform basic system testing to confirm proper operation following installation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in occupied residential settings
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, property management staff, and on-site teams
• Accurately document work performed, materials used, and installation details
• Properly use, maintain, and care for company tools and equipment

• Willingness/ability to frequently travel to properties throughout our portfolios in Columbus, Dayton, & Cincinnati, OH;
  Indianapolis, IN;
  Florence & Lexington, KY
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in HVAC systems
• EPA Section 608 Certification, type II minimum required
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms
• Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company policies
• Familiarity with R22, R410A, R454B and R32
• The ability to braze using a variety of torches
• Be able to manipulate copper line sets
• Familiarity with digital gauges along with manifold gauges
• Prior HVAC training, trade school coursework, or hands-on experience preferred
• Experience working in apartment communities or multi-family housing preferred
• Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical concepts preferred
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn
