The RoleReporting to the Dock & Door Operations Manager
, the Dock & Door Install Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial and industrial dock and door equipment, including:
Rolling steel and sectional doors
Dock levelers and truck restraints
Safety gates and truck shelters
HVLS fans
You’ll work independently and as part of a team to complete installations safely, efficiently, and to Raymond Storage Concepts standards — ensuring every job is done right the first time.
What You’ll Be DoingInstall dock and door equipment efficiently and accurately while following all safety regulations and company procedures
Complete and maintain all required safety training and equipment certifications
Meet performance goals related to labor efficiency, work completion, and quality
Maintain a clean, organized service truck, tools, uniforms, and inventory
Accurately document all work performed and submit paperwork in a timely manner
Partner with Parts, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure customer needs are met
Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams, representing RSC with integrity
Promote service maintenance programs and support the RSC brand through excellent customer interactions
Remain flexible with scheduling to support customer needs
Drive safely throughout the service territory and maintain a clean driving record
Demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, and a positive, professional attitude
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to:
Climb ladders, stairs, and operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and service vehicles
Frequently walk, crouch, crawl, push, and pull
Work in confined spaces and around obstacles
Lift and carry materials ranging from 40–120 lbs
Maintain balance and proper body positioning while working at heights or in tight spaces
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of dock & door, installation, or related mechanical experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Welding and cutting torch experience preferred
Experience operating lift trucks and scissor lifts preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and/or hydraulics preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Residence within the designated service area
