The Durable Slate Company, an award-winning historic roofing contractor established in 1986, is seeking a Roofer to join our team. We specialize in historic slate, clay-tile, and copper roofing and are known for our commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and preservation excellence.
What You'll Do
* Install, repair, and maintain historic slate, clay-tile, and copper roofing systems
* Work on architecturally and historically significant buildings
* Assist with material handling, job site setup, and clean-up
* Follow company safety standards and maintain a professional job site
* Collaborate with a team of skilled roofers and preservation specialists
* Travel to various job sites as needed, with paid travel time and logistics support
What We're Looking For
* Experience in slate, clay-tile, or copper roofing
* Comfortable working at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Valid driver's license with no more than 4 points, ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork
* Willingness and ability to travel
* Desire for a long-term career in historic roofing and preservation
