Allen & Frey Builders & Remodelers Inc is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Laborer to assist with residential construction and remodeling projects. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in carpentry, construction techniques, and site operations. You'll work closely with skilled carpenters, contribute to high-quality builds, and help maintain smooth, safe, and efficient job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters with framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, decking, and other construction activities.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.
• Prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after projects.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Follow instructions from lead carpenters and project managers to complete assigned tasks.
• Assist in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to specifications.
• Help ensure projects remain on schedule by performing support tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Comply with building codes, safety standards, and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction or related field preferred (willing to train motivated candidates).
• Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and measurements.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Work at heights, on ladders, and in various weather conditions.
• Stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods while maintaining focus on quality and safety.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday. Occasional flexibility may be required to meet project needs.

Location

Primarily onsite at active residential construction sites; travel between projects required.
