Analytical Chemist

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute analytical methods to characterize raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation such as GC‑FID/MS, HPLC, LC‑MS, NMR, and related techniques.
• Interpret complex datasets and clearly communicate findings to R&D, process, and manufacturing teams.
• Provide analytical support for product development, scale‑up, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Support impurity profiling, stability testing, and method validation activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, test methods, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with safety standards and applicable quality systems (ISO, GLP, internal standards).

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years analytical experience.
• OR Master’s degree with 3+ years analytical experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with GC and HPLC methods.
• Demonstrated ability to independently run, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting complex analytical results.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, onsite laboratory environment.
• Preferred:
  Experience with analytical method development and validation.
• Preferred:
  Exposure to LC‑MS, NMR, or elemental analysis techniques.
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with chromatography data systems (e.g., Chem Station, Mass Hunter, Empower, etc.).
• Preferred:
  Background supporting both R&D and manufacturing operations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
