Research Scientist
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and execute analytical methods to characterize raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation such as GC‑FID/MS, HPLC, LC‑MS, NMR, and related techniques.
- Interpret complex datasets and clearly communicate findings to R&D, process, and manufacturing teams.
- Provide analytical support for product development, scale‑up, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Support impurity profiling, stability testing, and method validation activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test methods, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with safety standards and applicable quality systems (ISO, GLP, internal standards).
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years analytical experience.
- OR Master’s degree with 3+ years analytical experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with GC and HPLC methods.
- Demonstrated ability to independently run, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting complex analytical results.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, onsite laboratory environment.
- Preferred:
Experience with analytical method development and validation. - Preferred:
Exposure to LC‑MS, NMR, or elemental analysis techniques. - Preferred:
Familiarity with chromatography data systems (e.g., Chem Station, Mass Hunter, Empower, etc.). - Preferred:
Background supporting both R&D and manufacturing operations.
This is a Permanent position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
