The Business Development Director is highly focused on sales and responsible for establishing new client agreements with prospective healthcare facilities to expand the Health Carousel Travel Network. This role requires the ability to effectively present the full range of solutions offered by Health Carousel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prospecting by cold calling, email, social media, marketing campaigns and industry conferences to hospitals, hospital systems and medical facilities.
- Expert at cultivating relationships with decision makers in client organizations (e.g., CEO, CNO, SVP HR, CFO and procurement executives) to secure new business, new client accounts and to maximize the value delivered by Health Carousel Travel Network
- Responsible for managing geographic territory including named customer targets
- On-going management and development of personal sales pipeline, forecast accuracy, account planning and maintaining account detail in our CRM platform
- Support all stages of the sales process, maintaining sales control and guiding internal teams to collaborate and rally around development of innovative solutions to meet or exceed identified sales targets
- Drive all client wins, ensuring a smooth transition into candidate selection and onboarding
- Act as a steward for good business and grow the client relationship by ensuring flawless execution
- Possess an in-depth understanding of Health Carousel Travel Network services and differentiation in the marketplace
- Negotiate pricing and terms within acceptable guidelines outlined by management working with the Health Carousel Contracts & Legal Team
- Proactively market available candidates to secure new contracts, identify and secure new business opportunities in facilities and departments where we are not actively providing a long-term workforce solution
- Ensure consistent adherence to all department and company policies, procedures, and practices
- Demonstrate financial stewardship by managing current resources with high efficiency, thoughtfully applying budget principles, and acting with integrity and accountability in financial decisions
- Look for ways to improve how daily work is done to improve efficiencies, automation, and simplify our processes and procedures
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- 4 Year degree and/or related sales experience
- Ability to develop a compelling value proposition, effective proposals and presentations with decision makers
- Proven ability to initiate, develop and grow C-level and senior relationships within target client organizations; influence purchase and buying decisions
- Expert sales acumen, critical thinking skills, ability to be solution oriented, drive to “win” and executive presence
- Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their workforce management challenges
- Knowledge of the full life cycle sales process from prospecting to close, prescribes to funnel management
- Travel required – assume up to 50%+ annually
- Must have proven written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly motivated and enthusiastic while demonstrating a professional demeanor and possessing strong interpersonal skills
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, highly responsive and customer focused with solid process orientation
- Adaptability to demanding business environment with changing business priorities and ability to perform outstanding work under compressed time pressures
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work independent of close supervision
- Ability to analyze performance and modify actions to increase productivity
