POSITION OVERVIEWDrive revenue growth and manage the Lab Link business segment through existing customer relationships, new customer relationship development, and consultative selling of Lab Link's laboratory connectivity solutions including power distribution products, service panels, wiring harnesses, lighting, and raceway systems. This individual contributor position combines hands‑on sales execution with business segment accountability and strategic planning. Requires proven industrial/technical/electrical equipment sales experience with ability to speak confidently about specifications with architects, engineers, designers, and contractors.
Primarily office‑based role (10‑15% travel) focused on responding to customer inquiries, generating accurate quotations, and managing the sales process from initial contact through project completion, with periodic travel for key customer meetings and trade shows.
- Drive revenue growth by responding to and converting project quote requests from phone, email, and website inquiries; proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities in laboratory, research, university, pharmaceutical, and commercial markets through inside sales activities
- Take ownership of Lab Link business segment performance and growth strategy, contributing to strategic decisions on pricing, market positioning, product development, and go‑to‑market initiatives
- Generate and qualify leads through proactive phone and email outreach, follow‑up on marketing campaigns and web inquiries, virtual presentations, and selective trade show participation
- Build and maintain robust sales pipeline with consistent activity, and collaborate with channel partners and new customers to maximize market penetration
- Develop and nurture long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers including laboratory designers, architects, engineers, electrical distributors, contractors, and facility owners
- Build and maintain customer relationships primarily through phone, email, and virtual meetings, with strategic face‑to‑face visits (2‑3 days per month) to key accounts and high‑value prospects
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges and presenting Lab Link solutions that address their specific needs
- Manage existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, identify expansion opportunities, and drive repeat business
- Serve as primary point of contact for incoming quote requests; efficiently process multiple simultaneous opportunities with quick turnaround time and high accuracy
- Review customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements to understand technical needs and recommend appropriate Lab Link product solutions
- Prepare high volumes of accurate and competitive quotations efficiently; manage quote‑to‑order conversion through proactive follow‑up and relationship management via phone and email
