Overview
Neurology District Sales Manager - Mid-Atlantic District role at Vanda Pharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high-performing specialty sales team focused on neurology/CNS therapies within the Mid-Atlantic district.
- Recruit, retain and coach field personnel; drive sales performance and leadership development.
- Manage local and regional travel requirements; maintain valid credentials and comply with industry standards.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen; communicate effectively across the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management experience preferred.
- Specialty experience preferred: CNS, neurology, pain management; MS market experience desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high-performing specialty sales representatives.
- Documented track record of sales and leadership performance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally, regionally, and occasionally overnight.
- Ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and state/local governments.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships.
- Must reside near a major airport within the district; ability to adapt in an innovative work environment.
- Experience in small company or start-up environments is a plus.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
- Bachelor’s Degree;

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read situations quickly and adjust for roadblocks.
- Technical aptitude; working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
