District Sales Manager – GRUNDFOS

We are seeking an energetic and experienced District Sales Manager to join our Industry (IND) team. Your primary focus will be the industrial market in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan. This position can be based at any location in these states and will operate remotely.

Job Overview

As a District Sales Manager (DSM) you will be responsible for growing sales of Grundfos products by implementing and executing a comprehensive territory growth plan. Your work will involve building and maintaining distributor relationships, raising awareness of Grundfos offerings among key decision makers, and driving market share growth in the industrial sector.

Responsibilities
  • Sales
    • Facilitate the sale of Grundfos products to end users, contractors, and OEMs.
    • Provide guidance and support to distributors to maintain existing business and grow new opportunities.
    • Partner with distributors to develop relationships with key decision makers such as end users, engineering firms, and contractors.
  • Territory Planning & Channel Development
    • Develop expertise in the industrial business climate, market types, key decision makers, applications, and competition within the assigned APR.
    • Develop, maintain, and execute a territory growth plan.
    • Continuously assess distribution coverage and KDM relationships, ensuring proper coverage throughout the APR.
    • Manage cross‑channel conflict to align with Grundfos goals and culture.
  • Training & Mentoring
    • Provide and facilitate training on Grundfos products, online tools, processes, and Value Selling to distributors.
  • Travel up to 60% overnight, including international travel (active passport required).
Qualifications
  • Degree in a technical discipline (engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years in a B2B sales role.
  • Prior experience with industrial distribution or market is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Professional sales skills including account strategies and plans.
  • Ability to network and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, and rotating equipment is a plus.
  • Capability to deliver effective product presentations at all levels.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Relocation & Travel

Relocation cannot be supported. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship.

Compensation

Salary range: $73,900 – $107,180
. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, 401(k) match, and employee stock purchase options. Certain roles may earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.
