Director of Sales

QC Conveyors manufactures conveyors that meet the needs of their customers with their automation, hydro clean, flextrac, and industrial series conveyors.
QC Conveyors is searching for a hands‑on and ambitious Director of Sales to lead the strategic development of QC Conveyors business in all target markets. This senior leadership position requires leading by example and motivating and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets. The Director of Sales will collaborate with application engineers and other departments to provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring a high level of customer focus on all aspects of the business operation.
Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales Manager will report to this position.
- Drive profitable sales growth of all products through strategic and tactical sales initiatives, maintaining a motivated sales organization and developing new customer accounts.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives for products and services.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
- Develop and grow National Account and Target accounts as a critical component of achieving sales growth.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly, ensuring the sales team utilizes reporting tools and CRM to guide day‑to‑day activity.
- Lead sales efforts to penetrate new markets, domestically and internationally.
- Represent the company at trade shows to promote products.
- Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness, anticipating and reacting quickly to changes in trends and performance to ensure attainment of goals.
- Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories and metrics.
- Partner with marketing to develop lead generation and revenue generation programs, and create high‑performing sales collateral.
- Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long‑term market share.
- Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
- Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- BS/BA in a related discipline or advanced degree; a degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is a plus.
- 10+ years of sales experience on a high‑performing sales team; material handling industry background is a plus.
- Background in industrial equipment or automation is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity, and personal style.
- Travel up to 50%+.
