Business Dev. & Specifier – Luxury Residential Lighting & Shading

RS Pro Sales is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Specifier to support and grow our Lighting, Shading, and Control Systems business. This role focuses on working with designers, architects, builders, remodelers, and integrators to ensure solutions are specified early in the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with designers, architects, builders, remodelers, and integrators.
  • Influence lighting and shading specifications during early project phases.
  • Track specifier-driven opportunities and maintain visibility into project timelines.
  • Represent, demonstrate, and promote solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and brand ambassador for lighting, shading, and control systems.
Marketing, Education & Events
  • Conduct Lunch & Learns, CEU presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Participate in and host industry events and design-focused gatherings.
  • Create and share professional content on Instagram, Linked In, and other platforms.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working in luxury or high-end residential environments.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with social media as a professional engagement tool.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in the CEDIA channel.
  • Existing relationships with designers, architects, builders, or integrators.
  • Background in lighting, AV integration, or manufacturer rep sales.
  • Knowledge of lighting controls, or automated shading.
