Showroom & E-Commerce Associate

English Traditions is a three-generation, family-owned furniture and antiques business specializing in European antiques, custom upholstery, and thoughtfully sourced home furnishings. For over 30 years, we have worked with interior designers, collectors, and homeowners to provide distinctive pieces that balance craftsmanship, history, and livability.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands‑on Showroom & E‑Commerce Associate to support both our warehouse operations and online store. This role combines physical work—moving, arranging, and preparing furniture—with digital responsibilities such as photographing items, uploading product details to Shopify, and following art direction from our offsite creative lead.

This is a part‑time role starting at approximately 25 hours per week with strong potential to grow into a full‑time position as responsibilities expand.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable learning new technical skills, and has a natural eye for consistency and detail. You don’t need to be a professional photographer, but you should feel comfortable handling a DSLR camera, basic studio lighting, and following reference imagery to capture furniture accurately and consistently.

This position also includes retail sales and customer‑facing responsibilities, interacting with clients both in person and during pickup or showroom visits.

• Move, stage, and prepare furniture pieces for photography and online cataloging.
• Operate and connect a DSLR camera with studio lighting (training provided).
• Capture clear, consistent product images from multiple angles following art direction.
• Upload product listings to Shopify, including:
• Measurements and dimensions
• Descriptions and required metadata
• Maintain accuracy and organization of online inventory.
• Assist customers in person, supporting showroom visits, retail inquiries, and sales interactions.
• Serve as a customer‑facing representative during pickups, deliveries, and warehouse visits.
• Receive incoming shipments: unload furniture, check accuracy, and sign off on deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading furniture for outgoing deliveries.
• Support general warehouse organization and upkeep.
• Collaborate with leadership to help prioritize workflow and scheduling.

• Ability to safely move, lift, and handle large furniture items.
• Comfort learning DSLR camera setup and studio lighting.
• Familiarity with Shopify or other e‑commerce platforms preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop preferred), Canva, or similar editing tools for basic image preparation.
• Comfortable using computers to upload images and manage product information.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative/art direction.
• Confident, professional demeanor in customer‑facing and retail environments.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently once trained.
• General proficiency with social media and online shopping platforms.

• Prior experience with product photography or e‑commerce listings.
• Knowledge of furniture, interiors, antiques, or related industries.
• Light photo editing experience (cropping, resizing, file naming, color correction).
• Retail or showroom sales experience.
