Base pay range$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready. Responsible for opening back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested.
- Model a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
- Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
- Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for deliveries.
- Register all sales and record scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assist manager or assistant in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
- Assist in evaluating and developing displays, complete resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for all departments and locations.
- Ensure the Outdate program is followed.
- Handle basic department pricing and daily price changes, including signage and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities: cash report, counts, ledgers, bill payments.
- Help maintain store appearance, order repairs, and ensure product placement guidelines.
- Support food segregation, stock rotation, and first‑in, first‑out processes.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at the pharmacy window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
- Check bags of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager.
- Act as a liaison between management and non‑management staff by communicating tasks when management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
