Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager at National Vision Inc.

Job Description- Drive, monitor, and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
- Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
- Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
- Identify areas of opportunity and create action plans for improvement.
- Convey a commitment to outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
- Ensure quality standards and effective merchandising, marketing, pricing, promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
- Supervise and motivate opticians, CL sales associates, and receptionists, ensuring timely completion of day‑to‑day functions.
- Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining high‑caliber staff.
- Lead and coach associates toward attainment of sales and customer service goals.
- Mentor potential apprentice opticians as permitted by law.
- Maintain an active optical license as required by the state.
- Experience in optical sales; supervising experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
- Sound understanding of store operations and success standards.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective team management.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress toward goals.
- Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability across varied scopes.
- Qualifying credentials: ABO and NCLE Certified.
