Essential Job Functions:

• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers.
• Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain equipment and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, act with honesty, and seek assistance when needed.
• Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
