Overview
Dishwasher role at O'Charley's — responsible for operating the dish machine and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area.

- Set up and break down the dish machine, including arms, screens, and baskets.
- Clean and polish the machine thoroughly, removing paper and hosing down the interior.
- Check that the machine is operating correctly and report defects immediately.
- Know and execute preventive maintenance procedures.
- Wash, rinse, and store dishes, small wares and glasses in the correct places.
- Pre‑soak, rack, and wash silverware according to O'Charley's procedures.
- Check water temperature during dishwashing to ensure proper temperature.
- Check trash for silverware and ramekins with a Manager, remove trash from the dishroom, and place it in the dumpster.
- Clean and sanitize garbage cans, keeping liners in place at all times.
- Keep the dishroom and detergent storage area neat and maintain dry floors.
- Collaborate with Line Cooks and other team members to maintain a clean kitchen area and efficient food service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by a Manager.

- Speak and understand the primary language of the work location.

- Bend, stoop, lift, and carry items up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis.
- Learn dish operating procedures.
- Tolerate wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noises.
All staff members are responsible for ensuring guests have a great experience. Mistakes may occur, but the focus is on taking correct actions, learning from them, and rectifying any issues in a timely manner to maintain guest satisfaction.
