The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery is looking for a Sr. Research Assistant to assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or research studies in a particular discipline, making independent contributions based on professional training and experience.

• Independently perform experiments and record data according to research protocols.
• May maintain and oversee animal colony management and animal husbandry.
• Solve problems using combined research knowledge.
• Analyze research results, interpret data, and assist in judging validity of data.
• Organize data search and analysis procedures.
• Assist in establishing test controls, criteria, and research standards.
• Assist with the design of complex data processing systems to analyze research data.
• Accomplish assigned results for projects/studies or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments.
• Serve as a seasoned professional.
• May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non‑exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, approve time off, etc.).

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement.

• Three (3) years of relevant experience.
