we're looking for

We are seeking a full‑time Leasing Consultant to join our growing team in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. As a Leasing Consultant at Ackermann Group, you will be responsible for interacting with prospective and current residents to present the apartment community in its most favorable light while sustaining acceptable levels of occupancy.

Responsibilities
  • Sales and administrative aspects with occasional light manual labor.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive understanding of community product knowledge, fair housing, and lease policies.
  • Ensure all documentation related to leasing, fair housing compliance, and resident interactions is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Maintain a current understanding of basic community data points including number of units, year built, building materials, utility providers, etc.
  • Keep up-to-date with area micro and macro market conditions sufficient to influence the sales approach.
  • Routinely inspect units and community campus to ensure market readiness, execute remedies (pick up trash or tidy a unit) and collaborate with Maintenance when necessary.
  • Act as first point of contact to respond to prospect and resident queries in person, via technology, or phone, converting queries into physical tours and directing complex matters to the appropriate person or member of Management.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences that garner positive reviews.
  • Anticipate and resolve resident issues and inquiries independently, proactively identifying areas for improvement in customer satisfaction and providing solutions or recommendations to the Community Manager.
  • Participate in resident after‑hours events and may be responsible for community outreach efforts to market desirability of the community.
  • Guide prospective residents through tours and secure leases at a reasonable conversion rate.
  • Complete all administrative aspects (guest card completion, lease preparation, etc.) associated with the leasing or move‑in process.
  • Document (and help schedule) routine service needs expressed by residents.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in property management and CRM software for managing prospect information, resident details, tasks, and follow‑ups, accurately logging guest cards, tracking interactions, scheduling appointments, and generating reports to support leasing efforts.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, fostering open communication and support among community staff, including Maintenance and the Community Manager, ensuring resident needs are met quickly and effectively.
  • Take responsibility for other work‑related tasks as assigned by the Community Manager.
Ideal Leasing Consultant will have
  • Availability to work full‑time:
    Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. plus rotating Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Previous customer service experience is required. Leasing and/or sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office. Experience with Yardi Voyager, Rent Café, and CRM is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to quickly develop rapport with prospective residents.
  • The ability to work well in a team setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
