Quality Systems Engineer
Location: Hamilton, OH 45013
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Hours: 7AM - 5PM - Monday - Friday
Position Overview
The Quality Systems Engineer supports quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment by maintaining quality systems, supporting inspections, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Working under the direction of the Quality Manager, this role assists with Quality Management System (QMS) maintenance, investigates non-conformances, and helps ensure products meet required specifications before shipment.
This role works closely with production and operations teams to maintain accurate documentation, improve processes, and support consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain familiarity with applicable quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, and documentation.
Support inspection activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Process nonconformances, assist with root cause analysis, and support implementation of corrective actions.
Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and traceability within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality procedures, and internal documentation standards.
Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and organized quality records.
Work cross-functionally with production, operations, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with quality systems, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or inspection in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
High level of professionalism, organization, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO-based systems.
Experience in manufacturing or production environments, particularly machining or precision manufacturing.
Familiarity with ERP systems used to manage production, inventory, and quality records.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
