We are seeking an Analytical Senior Laboratory Technician for our Cincinnati Technology Center (CTC). The role supports production, product stewardship, and technical services growth through analytical testing. A candidate with 5–10 years of experience in an analytical laboratory is preferred. Flexibility and the ability to handle varied assignments are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct activities following established safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
- Prepare materials, set up instruments, run tests, and report analytical results.
- Operate physical, chemical, optical, and analytical equipment for CTC samples.
- Perform instrument calibrations, verifications, and maintain calibration standards.
- Coordinate annual preventive maintenance, service calls, and contract support.
- Manage sample collection, shipping to third parties, and tracking.
- Record and tabulate data in legal laboratory notebooks.
- Identify irregularities or trends, troubleshoot instrumentation, and resolve issues.
- Communicate results to management following procedures.
- Maintain sample tracking database and prepare periodic reports.
- Plan, schedule, and execute sample testing with limited supervision.
- Follow detailed analytical procedures, record data, and prepare presentations.
- Assist in developing SOPs, JSA procedures, and project reports.
- Support and design new analytical methods to enhance services.
- Meet quality and turnaround targets for time‑critical samples.
- Answer technical inquiries accurately and promptly.
- Research instrument trends, propose cost‑saving or improved methods.
- Promote safety, housekeeping, and laboratory best practices.
- Ensure risk assessment and documentation of all laboratory activities.
- Display strong oral communication and a flexible approach to work, positively impacting team morale.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent with 5–10 years of analytical laboratory experience.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and handle multiple projects.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Background in analytical instruments; consumer‑products industry experience is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and continuous technical growth orientation.
