Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary

Beechmont Pet Hospital is currently seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing individual to join our growing staff as a full‑time veterinary assistant! Part‑time availability may also be considered for the right candidate. Potential applicants should have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi‑task. A customer service background or veterinary hospital experience is preferred, but we also provide on‑the‑job training.

• Assist with patient care and treatment, monitoring hospitalized pets.
• Maintain inventory and stocking.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Aid with routine diagnostic tests.
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Clean/disinfect hospital.
• Administer medication under supervision.
• Feed and bathe animals.
• Answer phones and perform general customer service duties.

• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Customer service background or veterinary hospital experience preferred; on‑the‑job training provided.

• Base hourly rate of $13.00 – $15.00.
