Clinical Veterinarian – Med Tech Surgery, Inc.

Preclinical Operations Clinical Veterinarian in the Animal Care and Use program at the Ethicon Endo Surgery animal facility. Reports to the Attending Veterinarian (AV) and provides backup AV support. Relocation assistance may be available to qualified candidates.

• Provide high‑quality veterinary care to research animals and complete duties delegated by the Attending Veterinarian.
• Serve as backup AV by fulfilling AV responsibilities and providing weekend and holiday coverage.
• Review or consult on research animal proposals submitted for IACUC review and support 3
  
  Rs, humane endpoints, and adverse effect monitoring.
• Maintain animal care program documents, SOPs, and training materials to assure quality operations and regulatory compliance.
• Train colleagues in anesthesia, analgesia, and 3
  
  Rs principles and participate in internal audits and inspections such as USDA and AAALAC.
• Consult on animal model development and maintain relationships with USDA and AAALAC employees during audits.
• Manage low‑level budget and contractor personnel.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (VMD) required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience; regulated industry (Medical Device/Pharma/Consumer Goods) experience preferred.
• Licensed in Ohio or ability to obtain Ohio license within 6 months.
• Knowledge of FDA, GLPs, GMPs, and AAALAC standards.
• Experience with livestock/large animal research highly preferred.
• May require approximately 10% travel.
