Contract Length: 4–13 weeks
Schedule: 3×12‑hour shifts/week, every third weekend minimum; one holiday per contract

Tri Health’s Internal Agency Contract offers experienced acute care nurses the unique opportunity to work as a Flex RN within our Telemetry Unit — a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in dynamic clinical settings and want contract flexibility without traveling outside the organization. You’ll deliver evidence‑based, compassionate care while collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary partners.

• Contract flexibility with the stability of working inside Tri Health.
• Work in a high‑acuity Telemetry environment caring for patients on cardiac monitors, including those with arrhythmias, NSTEMI, heart failure, and post‑procedural needs.
• Strong pathway toward critical care or advanced cardiac specialties—Telemetry works closely with ICUs.
• Opportunity for skill expansion including cardiac monitoring, electrophysiology exposure, and care coordination across cardiac programs.

• Deliver direct and indirect holistic nursing care for telemetry patients using the nursing process.
• Continuously monitor and assess cardiac status; document updates per Tri Health guidelines.
• Communicate assessment findings and care needs to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Serve as a resource and leader on the unit as needed, demonstrating autonomy and strong clinical judgment.
• Provide patient and family education, including cardiac condition management and safety.
• Participate in organizational improvements, committees, and unit initiatives.
• Ensure safe and therapeutic care while upholding patient dignity, autonomy, and rights.

Must‑Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• 2–3 years of acute care RN experience, including at least 1 year in Telemetry, PCU, cardiac stepdown, or similar monitored unit.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong cardiac assessment and monitoring skills grounded in nursing sciences.

Preferred

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Travel, float pool, or high‑acuity cardiac experience.
• Professional organization membership.

• 3×12s weekly (Rotating weekends & one holiday per contract).
• On‑site at Bethesda North Telemetry Unit.
