PLEASE NOTE: Recruitment for this position is part of a succession plan for an upcoming scheduled retirement. Upon successful completion of this program, the regular placement will be at Belmont Village St. Matthews in Louisville, KY. Candidates must be willing to travel out of state for up to six months during the training period to train at another Belmont Village community where temporary housing will be provided.

Launch your leadership career with our comprehensive 6‑month Director of Resident Care Services In‑Training (DRCSIT) program. This immersive experience provides the skills and knowledge you need to excel as a Senior Living Director of Resident Care Services/Director of Nursing (DON). Learn directly from an experienced Belmont Village Director of Resident Care Services Preceptor at one of our vibrant assisted living and memory care communities, gradually increasing your responsibilities as you grow.

Our structured program combines on‑the‑job shadowing, a comprehensive skills checklist, self‑paced online modules, leadership assessments, and hands‑on experience. You'll be guided by your preceptor and the program administrator, developing both technical expertise and essential leadership skills. Successful completion prepares you to apply for Director of Resident Care Services positions at Belmont Village. You Can Expect
  • Comprehensive Rotational Training:
    Mentored by an experienced Director of Resident Care Services, you will participate in a hands‑on rotational program covering all aspects of care and clinical services. This training will provide you with the skills to effectively manage licensed nurses, medication technicians, and caregivers, including scheduling and assigning daily tasks. You will also learn to serve as a liaison between physicians, residents, and families, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.

    Additionally, you will participate in an on‑call schedule to address after‑hours clinical needs and gain a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, all while upholding Belmont Village's mission and values.
  • Structured Mentorship and Feedback:
    Your progress will be supported through regular communication with the Program Administrator and Executive Director Preceptor. This includes monthly meetings, ongoing feedback, self‑evaluations, and progress reports, ensuring you receive the guidance and support you need to succeed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to travel to a Belmont Village community outside Kentucky for the six month duration of the training. Temporary housing will be provided during the six month training period outside of Kentucky.
  • Must hold an active current LVN, LPN or RN Nursing license in applicable state(s)
  • Must have at least 1 year of employment experience in a nursing role
  • Prior experience in management/supervisory roles within the Assisted Living industry (or closely related fields) is highly preferred
  • Nursing experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing or other Long Term Care setting preferred
  • You'll receive personalized support from a dedicated mentor/preceptor throughout this paid training program. While this structure provides invaluable guidance, we also emphasize the importance of self‑directed learning. Participants are expected to actively drive their own learning, seek out opportunities to apply new skills, and fully leverage the resources and guidance provided during this unique training period.
