The Christ Hospital Health Network Nursing Process
- Assessment – Deliver comprehensive care by assessing the patient’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs using The Christ Hospital Health Network Professional Practice Model, in collaboration with your healthcare team.
- Diagnosis & Planning – Work with the patient and family to create personalized care plans that prioritize needs and goals.
- Implementation – Provide evidence-based, best-in-class care by educating patients and families, executing well-planned interventions and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Evaluation – Monitor and adjust care based on patient outcomes and evidence-based practices.
- Leadership & Professional Development – Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to drive improvement and achieve better outcomes through Performance Improvement initiatives. Support High Reliability principles, and use data to guide progress. Demonstrate leadership by motivating, educating, delegating, mentoring peers, and managing patient care effectively.
Here are your additional requirements:
- Documentation – Accurately document the nursing process in the patient's electronic medical record, reflecting the plan of care and timely updates, education, and responses in line with hospital policy.
- Team Member Responsibilities – Adhere to organizational and department policies, complete required training, meet educational requirements, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and providing legendary patient care.
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
- BLS required before patient contact.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas.
- Unit-specific certifications may be required.
The Liberty Birthing Center is a 9-bed LDRP unit (labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum all in one room) with a level II special care nursery, a 4-bed triage/postpartum area, and 2 operating rooms with a family viewing room. This newly built building emphasizes patient- and family-centered care and offers high patient satisfaction scores. A 24-hour laborist physician, a 24-hour NNP, and 24-hour anesthesia coverage are available to support patient needs on the unit.
