RN – Cardiovascular Stepdown (CVSU) Unit Overview:
• 32-bed surgical step-down/progressive care unit
• Focus: cardiothoracic surgery & interventional cardiology
• Patient population: LVAD, valve replacements, post-STEMI, pectus excavatum
• Care includes arrhythmia management, IV drip titration, conscious sedation for cardioversions
• All RNs ACLS-certified; ECG interpretation required
• Advanced skills: chest tube & femoral line removal, external pacing, ACT/iSTAT testing Schedule &
Contract:
• 8-week assignment
• Night shift
• Every other weekend required Requirements:
