The Acute Care Medicine Nurse will support the Medical Center’s Medicine Unit and Level 1 Trauma Center, providing high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and institutional policies and procedures.

8 Northwest consists of 30 beds, with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:6. The majority of patients are admitted from the Emergency Department, with occasional lateral transfers from the main hospital requiring extended inpatient care.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate’s Degree, minimum required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
- Current OH RN License
- Current BLS/ACLS/PALS per department requirements based on patient population needs.
Job Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse I (CN I) is an individual who holds a current state license to practice nursing in Ohio. He or she Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate culturally based and age specific patient care.
