Role SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy provides direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role is responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and coordination of care in accordance with physician orders, regulatory standards, and center policies to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Position may cross-train to pre‑op, and PACU as needed.
HoursFull Time;
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM (hours may vary based on center needs).
- Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post‑endoscopy procedures
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including education and consent verification
- Administer medications and moderate sedation per policy and physician orders
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, responses, and condition throughout procedures
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures as needed
- Provide post-procedure recovery care and patient discharge education
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and clinical team members
- Participate in quality improvement, training, and competency activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current RN license (unencumbered)
- Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
- Endoscopy procedural experience
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity
- Exposure to surgical environments, equipment, and patient care areas
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens and chemical hazards consistent with the surgical setting
