Nurse Practitioner, Outpatient Psychiatry‑Eating Disorders

Description Of RoleProvide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents at the Liberty Campus, with a dedicated emphasis on the treatment of eating disorders.
ExperienceExperienced Nurse Practitioner (at least 1–2 years preferred).
Qualifications- Certification‑ PMHNP‑BC.
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Experience treating patients with eating disorders required (at least 2 years preferred).
- 8‑hour shifts (flexible).
- Weekday shifts Monday through Friday.
- No holidays, no weekends, and no calls.
- Patient Care – Perform history and/or physical exams, assess and diagnose chronic and acute conditions, formulate and monitor treatment plans, order and monitor therapeutic interventions, provide clinical consultation, and prescribe medications in accordance with Federal and State Law & CCHMC policy.
- Outcomes Identification and Planning – Develop measurable goals and individualized comprehensive plans of care, involve patient/family/caregiver, consider risks/benefits, costs, and evidence to formulate interventions, and maintain documentation.
- Professional Practice – Maintain behaviors aligned with core values, participate in quality improvement, lifelong learning, mentor peers, contribute to professional development, and serve on committees or professional organizations.
- Care Management – Promote self‑management, family‑centered care, document and communicate with the team, delegate monitoring and interventions, provide consultations, and handle referrals.
- Evaluation – Use systematic evaluation of outcomes to revise diagnoses, goals, and plans, assess the effectiveness of interventions, and recommend system or policy changes.
Scope for subspecialty role will not exceed the scope of the collaborating or supervising MD.
Job Qualifications- Master’s degree in a related field. A clinical license, certification, or training, or a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree may be required.
- Preferred:
Experience as an APP in a subspecialty. - Licensure and certification in accordance with CCHMC Delineation of Privileges.
- Multi‑state licensure in addition to Ohio licensure may be required based on subspecialty.
