The Individual Giving & Grants Manager supports the execution of our annual giving strategy and manages a portfolio of small grants. This role focuses on growing individual donor revenue, strengthening retention, and building a reliable pipeline of foundation support under $10,000. This is a hands‑on revenue role for a highly organized, detail‑driven professional who can manage deadlines, write clearly and persuasively, and translate impact into compelling donor communication.
CoreResponsibilities Annual & Individual Donor Revenue
- Execute annual individual giving strategy in partnership with the Senior Director of Advancement.
- Manage and implement multi‑channel appeals (email, direct mail, digital).
- Oversee donor segmentation and targeted communications.
- Track performance of appeals and recommend improvements based on results.
- Manage and grow a monthly giving program through acquisition, retention, and engagement efforts.
- Monitor revenue goals and provide regular reporting on progress.
- Support consistent, mission‑aligned donor communications throughout the year.
- Coordinate timely acknowledgment and stewardship touchpoints.
- Partner with communications and program teams to translate impact into donor‑facing messaging.
- Maintain a pipeline and calendar of small foundation and corporate grant opportunities.
- Write and submit grant proposals and required reports for awards under $10,000.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Support data gathering for larger grant proposals led by contracted writers or senior staff.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with direct experience in annual giving and/or grant writing.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising analytics tools.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
- Year‑over‑year growth in annual individual giving revenue.
- Measurable increase in monthly donor participation and retention.
- Reliable pipeline of small grants submitted on time and in full.
- Improved donor retention and engagement metrics.
- Consistent execution of appeals aligned with revenue goals.
- Salary: $55,000 – $60,000, commensurate with experience.
