Crossroads Church is a growing multi‑site, interdenominational church with locations in Ohio and Kentucky and plans for further expansion. We also serve an online community of thousands of people who are not near a physical site. Job SummaryResponsible for leading all aspects of the Kids’ Club elementary teams. The primary focus is on volunteer leaders and teams, including identifying and training grade‑level leaders, service‑time leaders, and general in‑room volunteers. The leader guides vision, direction, and communication to volunteers, builds relationships, and recruits and schedules volunteers for weekend experiences.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Direct and develop volunteer leaders
- Manage recruitment, retention, and growth of team volunteers
- Lead 150‑300 volunteers
- Own the environments and weekend experiences of designated teams
- Communicate with ministry teams
- Connect with site staff team
High School Diploma
Experience / Skills Requirements- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Ability to understand and cast Crossroads vision
- Self‑initiator with a teachable spirit
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate flexibility, responsibility, dependability, and follow‑through
- See the big picture while attending to details
- Work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment independently or in a team
- Experience and passion for working with kids
- Able to connect with kids, parents, and volunteers
- Perform effectively under pressure and strict time constraints
- Walk up to 5 miles, stand, climb, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, and stoop as duties require
- Lift 25 to 50 lbs
- Work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and high‑impact events at Crossroads
- Role includes working on weekends
