NDT Inspector Level I, II, or III

Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing | First & Second Shift | Industry-Leading 25% Night Shift Differential

You See What Others Miss. That's the Job.

In defense and aerospace manufacturing, the parts that leave our floor can't fail - and the NDT Inspector is one of the most critical reasons they don't. You're the expert who finds what the naked eye can't, validates what the blueprints demand, and signs off on work that ultimately protects lives. If you've built your career around precision, certification, and doing the job right the first time, GTC is where that expertise belongs.

And through our Ownership For All program, the work you do here builds more than great parts - it builds your future. Every eligible full-time employee receives an ownership stake in GTC. From day one, you're not just joining a team. You're becoming an owner. Your wins aren't just good for the company. They're good for you.

Your Schedule. Your Choice. Your Premium Pay.

We built our shifts around real life. Days start between 5 and 6 AM - 10-hour shifts that get you home with time to spare. Nights kick off at 5 PM and come loaded with our industry-leading 25% night shift differential. Pick Monday through Friday at 8 or 10 hours, or Monday through Thursday at 10 or 12 hours. More flexibility, more earning power, and a schedule that actually works for you.

Retirees, you're not forgotten - part-time schedules on days or nights are available, with a benefits package included.

What You'll Do

You'll perform NDT inspections - Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, X-Ray, Ultrasonic, and Visual - across machine shops, fabrication facilities, and assembly bays, working to the certifications you've earned and the standards defense work demands. That means reading and analyzing blueprints and engineering specifications, measuring dimensions with precision instruments, inspecting first-run and first-article parts, and comparing test results against specs to make the call on acceptability.

Your documentation will be rigorous and complete - every signoff verified, every traveler quantity confirmed against actual parts, every inspection report carrying the variable data required for defense traceability. You'll monitor NDT equipment calibrations, perform calibrations as required, and keep a sharp eye on welder certifications and weld procedure qualification tests for adherence to the WPS.

When defects turn up, you won't just flag them - you'll dig into root cause and recommend the process changes that prevent recurrence. You'll watch for irregularities in manufacturing processes before they become problems, give engineering feedback when variability runs too high, and perform internal audits in line with GTC's Quality Manual, ISO requirements, and customer specifications. This is a role for someone who seeks additional work, drives quality efficiency, and takes genuine ownership of the inspection function.

What You Bring

A minimum of five years of certified NDT experience in at least one discipline is required, along with at least two nationally recognized levels of competency - ASNT, AWS, or equivalent. You'll also bring five or more years of experience working with or around metal joining and welding operations. A high school diploma is required, as is U.S. citizenship.

You'll need classroom training across at least two NDT disciplines, SPC data collection training, and familiarity with chemical handling and radiography safety. Annual vision exams are required - Jaeger 1 at 12" with corrective lenses and the Ishihara Color Blindness Test.

This is a physically active role. You'll be on your feet and moving across the facility for the duration of your shift, lifting and maneuvering parts up to 50 pounds, bending and kneeling to access large assemblies, and working at various heights when the job calls for it. Fine motor skills, steady hands, and excellent visual acuity aren't optional - they're the foundation of everything you'll do here.

Why GTC

A role where your certifications and expertise are genuinely valued - not just listed on a job description. Work performed under the most rigorous defense quality standards in the industry, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and military specifications. A culture that takes continuous improvement seriously and rewards the people who drive it. Flexible shifts with real premium pay. And through Ownership For All, a stake in everything you help protect and build.

From day one, you're not just an inspector here. You're an owner.

All applicants are considered based on experience and knowledge, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
