Job Description & How to Apply Below
- Minimum of (2) years of mechanic work experience or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance duties
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment
- Work on project type work including welding and fabrication
- Work with manufacturing personnel to help with startup and training of operators
- Be able to lift up to 100lbs
- Work in an environment with extreme temperatures ranging from 39F to 90F
- Maintain a clean work area and help clean the maintenance shop on a rotation basis
- Help train new level one mechanics as needed
- Report any possible deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times
