Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator supports the production by moving, collecting, loading, shipping and receiving warehouse products, raw materials, and finished goods. This individual will be responsible for the operation of technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal business operation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse and production items using forklift trucks and other material-handling equipment
• Conduct daily equipment inspections
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
• Optimizing load configuration to ensure operational efficiency
• Prepare and secure loads for dry van or flatbed by picking and wrapping orders for shipment
• Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment or tablet
• Identifying workplace safety hazards
• Adhering to production schedules using ERP system
• Accurately enters appropriate data into Epicor ERP system (part quantities, job numbers...)
• Maintain a clean and organized area, including proper storage, disposal of materials, and maintain 5S standards.
• Communicates any potential disruptions to on time delivery
• Work overtime as needed to meet the schedule.
• Performs company activities in addition to the above as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Leader

Position Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ Years of Forklift Operation strongly preferred
• Forklift Certification strongly preferred
• Experience on sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack, and Combi forklifts preferred
• Attention to detail, organization, abd ability to follow safety protocols
