Collaborates with workers to produce quality finished products while maintaining efficient workflows. Assists and trains Production Associates, in addition to working closely with supervisors to provide a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate brings welding experience, specific to manufacturing.
Shift Time: 3rd Shift - Monday-Friday, 11PM-7:30AM. Shift differential pay included.
What You'll Do:
Lead and support daily production activities in a steel manufacturing environment, including hands‑on MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fit-up, weld placement, and product quality.
Perform basic welding (tack welds, minor fabrication, weld repairs) and visually inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
Measure finished products to 1/32" tolerance and verify dimensional and weld integrity standards are met.
Train team members on equipment operation, safe material handling, and welding best practices.
Assist with machine setups, welding equipment adjustments, and minor troubleshooting to maintain production flow.
Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
Enter production data into ERP and collaborate cross-functionally to meet output and quality goals.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure adherence to all safety and PPE requirements.
What You Bring:- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 3+ Years of Manufacturing Experience (heavy machinery preferred)
- 2+ years of Forklift experience
- 1–2+ years of basic welding experience (MIG)
- 1+ years of Manufacturing Lead Experience
- 1+ years of basic data entry into an ERP computer data entry system
Technical Requirements
- Ability to utilize a measuring tape to the 1/32" mark.
- Ability to read blueprint and technical drawings, manuals and instructions.
- Working knowledge of welding equipment setup, wire feed settings, voltage adjustments, and consumable selection.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and managers.
Physical Requirements
- Able to squat, bend and lift up to 65 lbs. without assistance.
- Able to operate equipment, including forklifts, safely and able to understand and follow safety protocols.
- Able to stand for up to 10 hours per day and to walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled facility with fluctuations in temperature.
