Scope of Job
Scope of Job: The Site Reliability Technician will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our manufacturing systems. This role involves implementing CBM Condition Based Monitoring practices within the maintenance team, monitoring the production plant health. Creating corrective actions and communicating them with the maintenance planner.
Responsibilities- Continuously monitor equipment and system performance, identifying potential issues before they escalate. Including data from:
Condition monitoring systems o Computerized maintenance management system. - Adhere to Health & Safety standards and report any unsafe conditions or practices. Use Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when working on any equipment.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintaining food hygiene in work areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and tear or potential faults. Use CBM (Visual, Vibration, Thermal, Acoustic) tools and systems to proactively monitor the performance/condition of the asset base.
- Breakdown Response & Repairs. Support equipment breakdowns and perform fault-finding and repairs.
- Analyse equipment breakdowns and recurring issues, with support from Planning Supervisor.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement improvements to increase reliability.
- Complete Breakdown analysis (BDA's) against set criteria to drive plant improvements, by eliminating high frequency repeat issues and re-occurrence of larger significant singular breakdowns in the future.
- Analyse plant performance and focus on the top 3-5 don time issues to improve equipment reliability and performance. Looking for long term robust fixes.
- Help identify and optimize spare parts and equipment currently carried / not carried on stock.
- Responsible for the proper use, status, and care of maintenance CMB equipment.
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and other technicians.
- Provide clear updates, verbally and written reports when required as well as shift handovers.
- Accurately record all reliability work in the CMMS (MMP)
- Solid demonstrable understanding of Condition based Monitoring, (CBM) Thermal, Vibration, Ultra-sonic and visual and basic understanding of lubrication and analysis.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Analytical and continuous improvement knowledge or experience:
Having good verbal and written communication skills. - Knowledge of plant process, PLCs, sensors, motors, conveyors, pumps, etc.
- Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferably with a minimum of 3 years food factory or FMCG experience.
EducationFormal education and some recognised Elecro-Mechanical or Asset Management qualifications.

Physical RequirementsMay require prolonged sitting and continuous use of computer. But generally, more time expected out in the factory collecting data or fault finding. May lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50lbs unaided.
