3rd Shift CNC Machinist

MWG is looking to add a 3rd Shift CNC Machinist to our Pippin location!

JOB SUMMARY: The CNC Machinist is responsible for accurately operating machines, inspecting parts for quality and performing basic maintenance.

• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, orப்படி grinders.
• Operating machines to produce good parts efficiently and on time to satisfy our internal and external customers.
• Inspect parts and fine tune to ensure consistent part quality throughout every production run.
• Program and set up machines to produce first article parts.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance to equipment and tooling to maximize machine uptime.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all陌 basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for preparation of machinery work.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Maintain production and runtime standards for all jobs.
• Understand, recommend and correctly use all job‑related measuring devices.
• Troubleshoot and solve all machining problems.
• Produce work daily that is consistently accurate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to frequently (34 to 66% of time on job) stand, sit, twist and useکام their hands, fingers and wrists to grip, twist and bend to operate controls. The employee will occasionally (6 to 33% of time on job) be required to walk, stoop, pull objects weighing an estimated 300 lbs over a distance of 200’, bend repeatedly, kneel and climb stairs.

The employee will also be required to occasionally (6 to 33% of time on job) reach high and low and lift items weighing 35 to 50 lbs. Infrequently (2 to 5% of time on job), the employee will be required to carry up to 35 lbs. over a distance of 200’ and push 300 lbs up to 30’.

The employee in this role will be working indoors, in an industrial manufacturing environment. The employee will regularly be exposed to noise levels requiring hearing protection, moving equipment and mechanical parts.
