Lead Production Operator - Ice Cream Plant

LEAD PRODUCTION OPERATOR - ICE CREAM PLANT

United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Production Lead Operator for our ice cream plant located in Norwood, OH.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of basic GMPs
• Pallet Jack Certification
• Cleaning Totes
• Maintaining Shrink Wrap
• Packaging
• Maintaining Box Machine
• Setup for fillers for production along with filler head checks
• Understanding coder operations for startup, shutdown & changeover
• Reading the production schedules, etc.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing is a definite plus)
• Certification:
  Forklift experience, DOT Physical Card
• Ability to effectively communicate and receive directives from management
• Organizational ability: organize your own workload and that of team members to complete work accurately and on time
• Reasoning ability: solve problems and handle a variety of variables within the commissary using knowledge of policy and SOPs
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel®, Sage X3
• Full-time position; willingness to work overtime as needed
