Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Manufacturing Engineer, located in Cincinnati, OH. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on overseeing manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include working closely with the production team to develop efficient manufacturing practices, improving workflow and reducing waste, troubleshooting and resolving process issues, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product development and implement innovative engineering solutions.

The Manufacturing Engineer initiates the production processes to fulfill customer requirements, provides ongoing coordination and support for the machining operations, and evaluates completed production processes to determine costs and opportunities for ongoing improvement.
Responsibilities- Customer interaction: receive requests, communicate and confirm requirements, communicate ongoing progress, resolve open issues.
- Quoting: estimate material and labor costs, generate and send quotes to customers.
- Production interaction: coordinate material sourcing with vendors and machining operations with shop foreman and resolve production issues.
- Technical drawing: generate production drawings suitable for machining.
- Job routing:
Utilize expertise to clearly define and communicate material requirements and manufacturing processes for individual jobs to ensure cost-effective and timely production with reliable quality. - Job scheduling: prioritize and schedule work in process to balance machine loads and delivery requirements.
- Job costing: review time and materials used and input into computer database to determine the costs of completed jobs.
- Purchasing: procure required materials and tooling for jobs as well as miscellaneous production supplies and tools for shop.
- Order entry:
Enter orders with appropriate due dates, shipping information, and relevant customer instructions. - Continuing Improvement: collaborate with shop foreman to improve machining processes, tooling,
- Technical drawings: reading and generating technical drawings, use of Computer-Aided Drawing (including solid modeling), self-management, organization, planning, and task prioritization.
