Material Handler II – The Hillman Group

Schedule Monday through Friday - 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Pay $18.50 per hour

Job Summary Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates a variety of powered industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Use a hand scanner
• Pick-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unload and put away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provide replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pull and stock correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfer finished products to designated areas
• Stack empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operate a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Use knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; report other problems to manager

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Operational Equipment

• Hand‑held RF scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, Powered Industrial Equipment

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Material Handler must be forklift operation certified. Stand on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
• Physical demands:
  Medium-Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
