Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Shift Lead for our client. This job is responsible for leading and overseeing daily weld cell operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met while supporting workflow, team performance, and continuous improvement.

• Lead and oversee daily shift operations within the weld cell to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met.
• Supervise and coordinate weld-cell activities, including welding, roll-forming, saw cutting, cut & punch, and assembly operations.
• Lead by example with strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic.
• Support production flow by prioritizing work, addressing issues, and ensuring schedules are maintained.
• Troubleshoot welding and production issues and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure adherence to established procedures.
• Communicate production status, issues, and improvement opportunities to management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Journeyman Welder certification preferred or equivalent welding experience.
• Prior leadership or shift lead/supervisory experience required.
• Strong welding background or transferable skills supporting rapid skill development.
• Experience overseeing or working within weld cells and related operations (roll-forming, saw cutting, cut & punch, assembly).
• Proven reliability with excellent attendance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage workflow, and hold employees accountable.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
