Summary / ObjectiveThe employee is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the folder gluer machine, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to established quality standards.
Essential Functions- Set up and operate folder and gluer equipment.
- Correct and report any unsafe conditions.
- Train apprentices and entry‑level members as needed.
- Suggest ideas for company‑wide continuous improvement.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on glue and folder equipment.
- Match samples to glue and fold pieces.
- Glue and fold a variety of sizes and types of cartons.
- Maintain quality and productivity.
- Ability to read and follow written job tickets and schedules; good math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, coworkers, and customers.
Education and Experience
- 2–3 years of experience with a gluer and folder machine.
Education and Experience
- Experience on a Bobst machine.
The work environment is a fast‑paced production environment. Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate to loud noise.
Physical DemandsStand for the full shift; use hands to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; occasionally climb stairs. May lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkFull‑time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on business necessity.
