Job Title:
Material Handler
Join our team at an anaerobic digestion facility located in St. Bernard, Ohio. This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Saturday hours from 8 AM to 12 PM. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the safe transportation and processing of various containers and hazardous waste materials.
Responsibilities- Load and unload various size containers including totes, drums, tankers, and trailers.
- Construct boxes or fiber containers, stack, label, and load them.
- Utilize a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, and jackhammers.
- Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.
- Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and containers following RCRA and disposal guidelines.
- Assist in completing paperwork for processing materials, including transportation logistics.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.
- Inspect material handling equipment as directed.
- Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites using appropriate equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in handling hazardous waste.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts.
- Skill in using hand tools and power tools.
- Hazwoper certification.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 to 6 months of prior work experience in the hazardous waste or chemical industry.
- Forklift operating experience.

Work EnvironmentThe role is situated at a plant where you will handle hazardous waste, requiring comfort with both indoor and outdoor work environments. Expect moderate noise levels and physical activity, including standing and walking for up to 8 hours a day.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
