1st shift, 4/10‑hour shifts Monday‑Thursday with possible overtime; weekend shift, 4/12‑hour shifts Friday, Saturday & Sunday (starting at 4, 5 or 6 AM)

Job DescriptionTake charge of our day‑to‑day operations so we remain the trusted source for aviation repair and maintenance. Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.
As a Bench Operator, you’ll set up and operate a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremels, drills, presses, low‑temperature ovens, pullers and hand grinders to perform various operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, cold working metals, masking, and braze application.
What You’ll Do- Recognize and understand flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Immediately report flight/product safety concerns.
- Participate in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Recognize and understand the Just Culture policy.
- Set up and operate a variety of hand tools to perform operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, cold working metals, masking, and braze application.
- Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints, templates, and layouts for product specifications such as tooling instructions, tolerances and dimensions, translating instructions into actions.
- Fit and assemble machined metal parts and sub‑assemblies using hand and power tools.
- Manually align components for assembly and bolt, screw, dowel or rivet complex series of parts together.
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Inspect quality and accuracy of run work.
- Set up and operate test equipment (e.g., pressure test).
- Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.
- Cross‑train in other complementary skills and seek endorsement for those skills as needed to support production requirements.
- Move between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
- Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
- Observe all applicable safety requirements and report immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
- Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, rework process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals, and MSDS labels.
- Working knowledge of production management computer systems and other related internal control systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
- Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods.
- Specialized training in machine shop practices.
