Overview
PRS Auto is currently seeking a Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations for immediate hire. This role oversees the unloading (driving) of new automobiles from railcars at the TDSI West Cincinnati, OH rail terminal, a division of the CSX Railroad. PRS is an independent contractor of the railroad and is not affiliated with the railroad itself. This position requires no prior experience, as comprehensive training is provided.
While prior supervisory experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.

The Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations is responsible for coordinating the terminal’s operations to ensure that service levels meet customer requirements. This role follows policies and procedures established by the Company, Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents, Directors, Assistant Terminal Managers, and Terminal Managers.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Oversees the scheduling and coordination of the automotive activities of the terminal.
- Ensures personnel meet productivity goals and maintain acceptable service levels based on company standards.
- Prioritizes safety, productivity, and efficiency; maintains direct contact with customers for unloading the automobiles; designates equipment availability to meet customer requirements and ensures security of all operations within the intermodal yard.
- Assists in the company’s safety policies by upholding high standards for all employees.
- Monitors automotive freight handling to be cost-effective while meeting customer service standards.
- Coordinates inventory and auto placement to ensure accuracy and securement on all units.
- Determines manpower levels, personnel schedules, and duties assigned.
- Maintains consistent daily contact with the Assistant Terminal Managers and Terminal Manager for information sharing and recommendations to improve productivity and cost controls.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a background check, and be able to pass a drug test.
- Advanced knowledge of the railroad industry from vocational education, apprenticeship, on-the-job training, and/or similar supervisory work experience.
- Ability to assist in conflict resolution and mediation between co-workers.
- Proven managerial skills are preferred and may include ability as a strong leader and positive motivator, success with employee training, and a good understanding of a Collective Bargaining Agreement, government regulations, and industry standards.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with a variety of individuals.

You will be employed directly by PRS Auto and will not be an employee of the Railroad.
Applicants must currently live within a 30-minute commute of the business location.
Out of area candidates and/or those requiring relocation will not be considered.
