V‑Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Service Now HAM/SAM Analyst V for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• Service Now Fundamentals.
• Software Asset Management (SAM) Professional Fundamentals.
• Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS‑SAM).

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field.
• Proven track record of managing software assets and implementing lifecycle management processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Service Now, particularly in software asset management.
• Experience in implementing and optimizing software asset management processes within Service Now.

• Knowledge of software asset lifecycle management, including discovery, normalization, procurement, inventory control, and disposal.
• Ability to configure and customize Service Now workflows, forms, and reports.
• Knowledge of Service Now's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its integration with software asset management.

• Strong problem‑solving skills to address software‑related issues.
• Ability to analyze data within Service Now to make informed decisions about software assets.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to software asset management in Service Now.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, stakeholders, and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to train and support team members in using Service Now for software asset management.

• Ability to analyze software performance and cost data to make informed decisions.
• Experience reading and interpreting contracts (good written and oral communication skills).
• Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
• Proficiency in Service Now ITSM and SAM modules.
• Service Now Software Asset Management.

• Standardize discovered software asset data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Create and maintain normalized software publisher names, product names, and versions.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of software models.
• Standardize software models to streamline procurement and compliance.
• Evaluate and select software models based on performance, cost, and compatibility.

• Manage and optimize the request, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software entitlements.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.

• Track, evaluate, and manage software license rights, compliance, and optimization.
• Reconcile software installations with entitlements to determine the effective license position (ELP).
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks and optimize software usage.

• Understand the software asset management processes within the Service Now platform.
• Understand the configuration and customization of Service Now modules to support software asset management.
