Overview

Senior Manager, Paid Search to play a pivotal role in enhancing performance across our paid search programs. This position is crucial in aligning media execution with broader business objectives. You will engage in hands-on optimization, apply analytical rigor, and employ strategic thinking while managing direct client relationships and collaborating with internal teams. Your mission will be to drive performance improvements, uncover valuable insights, and help clients grow through smarter, more intentional search strategies.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000.

Responsibilities

This position combines execution, strategy, and client leadership.

  • Campaign Ownership:
    Plan, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and SA360.
  • Performance Analysis:
    Conduct ongoing data analysis to identify insights, optimization opportunities, and growth levers.
  • Testing and Experimentation:
    Develop and execute strategic testing roadmaps aligned with client goals, balancing performance enhancement with learning.
  • Client Leadership:
    Act as the primary day-to-day contact for search clients, managing communications, expectations, and performance discussions.
  • Reporting and Insights:
    Create and present clear, client-ready performance reports with actionable recommendations tied to business outcomes.
  • Holistic Marketing Thinking:
    Convert broader business objectives into integrated search strategies that harmonize with other media and channel efforts.
  • Process Improvement:
    Contribute to internal best practices, frameworks, and operational efficiencies within the media team.
  • Billing Oversight:
    Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely client billing related to search programs.
  • Team Development:
    Support the growth and development of Analysts and Junior Analysts through mentorship and guidance.
Experience Requirements

This role demands both hands-on expertise and exceptional communication skills.

  • Paid Search

    Experience:

    At least 2 years in a SEM or performance marketing role.
  • Platform Proficiency:
    Extensive experience with Google Ads and/or SA360; familiarity with Microsoft Ads is preferred.
  • Analytics Expertise:
    Proficient in Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Education:

    BA/BS degree required; fields such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics are a plus.
  • Analytical Strength:
    Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into clear insights.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentation capabilities.
  • Executional Rigor:
    Highly detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus

    Experience:

    Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, R, or Python are advantageous.
