Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer with a strong AWS background to help support our federal clients. The individual should have proven knowledge to design, develop, and implement an automated Dev Ops pipeline capable of supporting high-performing software solutions.
Work Location: Hybrid with the following locations (2 days onsite and 3 days remote)
Leesburg VA, Kansas City, MO, Cincinnati, OH, Raleigh-Cary, NC
Responsibilities- Automate the provisioning of AWS environments, building infrastructure from the ground up with Terraform & deploying applications using public cloud infrastructure.
- Design and develop automation workflows, performing unit tests and conducting reviews to ensure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance and resiliency while constantly assessing the overall quality of delivered components.
- Develop automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, scripts, or software for maintaining each platform and enabling user self-service capabilities.
- Provide technical direction on CI/CD pipeline management, automation, and development.
- Communicate technical information to stakeholders, collaborate with leadership, vendors, and other engineering teams, and solve complex business problems together.
- BS and 5+ years of experience in Software Development and Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops Engineering. (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Clearance:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. - Cloud Expertise: 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud Native technologies (e.g., Lambda, Glue, Step Functions) and cloud‑based build/deployment pipelines.
- Key Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins/Cloudbees, Python, Terraform, Puppet, Splunk, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Cloud Formation). - Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication, exceptional work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, and a commitment to achieving goals efficiently. - Preferred Experience:
Enterprise/Shared Service Dev Ops team experience, implementing IDP (e.g., Kratix, Argo CD), and working with the USDA or other federal agencies.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
