Service Now Engineer – Platform Operations
Join KPMG US as a Service Now Engineer – Platform Operations and help deliver audit, tax, and advisory services for our clients. This hybrid role focuses on supporting and enhancing Service Now products to drive efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead support and enhancement requests across all Service Now products/modules, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving platform issues with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Design, configure, and develop solutions using Service Now best practices to meet business needs and improve processes; recommend and implement new features.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and configurations; ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and Service Now best practices.
- Contribute to platform and Plugin/Store app upgrades; mentor junior team members and promote platform knowledge across the operations team.
- Manage platform health, monitor performance, and maintain integration points.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and scrum teams to gather requirements, refine user stories, and translate needs into actionable Service Now solutions.
- Minimum three years of practical experience developing and supporting Service Now in an enterprise environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) are preferred.
- Strong experience supporting and enhancing core Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Sec Ops, IRM, etc.) and a solid grasp of Service Now architecture, data models, integrations, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- At least one Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in a major module (ITSM, HR, CSM, Sec Ops) is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. KPMG will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visas for this opportunity.
