KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & HR Operations- Reporting to the President/CEO, serve as a key contributor to organizational strategy and long-term workforce planning
- Partner with executive and senior leadership to align HR strategy, policies, and programs with business goals
- Lead and develop the Human Resources team to deliver consistent, high-quality service across all business units
- Manage the HR budget and leverage HR metrics and analytics to inform leadership decisions
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws, including EEO, affirmative action, and required filings
- Provide expert guidance on labor and employment matters (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, corrective action, terminations)
- Oversee and continuously strengthen the company’s Safety Program
- Partner closely with benefits brokers to deliver competitive, cost-effective benefits programs
- Lead annual benefits market reviews and salary benchmarking; provide data-driven recommendations to leadership
- Oversee benefits administration, eligibility, and enrollment processes
- Lead enterprise-wide talent management, including attraction, development, retention, and deployment of talent
- Design and evolve performance management frameworks and competitive compensation strategies
- Identify and address skills gaps through workforce planning and development initiatives
- Partner with leaders to anticipate hiring needs and support recruiting and onboarding efforts
- Oversee job architecture, job descriptions, and job analyses
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution
- Conduct and oversee internal investigations with objectivity, discretion, and fairness
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience (or 15+ years in HR leadership/management)
- Demonstrated experience across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong business acumen paired with deep respect for the human element of work
- Proven ability to design and implement HR programs, systems, and processes
- Experience navigating organizational growth, change, or transition
- Data-driven mindset with experience using HR metrics, reporting, and analytics
- Strong technology fluency (ATS, HRIS, MS Office, social platforms)
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: approachable, empathetic, credible, strong listener, and highly communicative
